The very first thing a dropper needs is to accept the fact “ I did not give my 100% last year, had I given my 100% , I would surely have been in medical college this year itself “. Once you accept this fact promise yourself that this time you will keep on working till it's done . It's going to be a bit long answer but I think it will help you .

Now , for those who are doing self study , there is one plus point that you don't have to waste time in travelling to your institute and ultimately according to me it's you who have to work. However good the teachers are , until and unless you try to utilize each and every minute of yours efficiently, nobody can help you crack this entrance exam.If you have already taken coaching in 11th and 12th and you have the notes and packages and materials of any institute you were part of , you don't need anything but revision and practice .

For physics, just keep on practising from your materials which you got last year , read the concepts given in your notes and keep solving package questions ; and for those who did not take any coaching and don't have notes of any coaching institute I'll recommend you to buy some really good books like D.C Pandey , NCERT exemplar ( you can also buy 2nd hand materials from local book stores who keep Aakash /Allen packages ; you can also get it on OLX and other sites ; in that way you can get all the packages and even the question papers of different institutes) ; but keep it limited ; don't buy too many books because ultimately to score in physics you don't need to solve a thousand questions but only hundred questions 10 times ; so keep this in mind and select one or two good books for yourself .

And every time you sit to solve physics questions , keep a time limit ; try to solve each question in 2–3 minutes ; though some questions may takemore time .

For chemistry :

Physical - for this make a copy where you can write all the important formulas and facts ; you can solve N. Awasthi for this (especially chapters like equilibrium, thermodynamics) ; for few chapters I would recommend you to go through NCERT (like classification and periodicity of elements, surface chemistry, general properties and processes of isolation of elements, polymers , biomolecules, chemistry in everyday life, structure of an atom )

For inorganic chemistry, stick only and only to NCERT , as every year it's seen that all inorganic questions are from NCERT only , but read it a no. of times ; keep a copy where you write all the reactions along with the name of few reactions; revise that copy as many times as possible , write all the trends of solubility and other trends in that copy.

For organic , mechanisms are very very important and specially those given in NCERT , so read them giving them special emphasis. NCERT is a must for organic chemistry since even some theoretical questions come from it, so don't leave your NCERT .

For biology , everybody knows NCERT is Bible , so don't dare to leave it , read it maximum no. of times ( for few chapters you need some extra informations as well so you can write them down in NCERT itself ) ; again each and every diagram of NCERT is important; solve some numericals for chapters like( genetics, molecular basis of inheritance) ; write down all the examples of various organisms of different phylums in a separate small copy ; write down all the charts in one copy ( like Non cyclic and cyclic photophosphorylation, glycolysis, C3 and C4 pathway, haplontic, diplontic , haplo-diplontic etc ).You can solve questions from MTG - NCERT at your fingertips since it's a very good book.

Besides learning one most important thing is time management and for that you can buy some books who have mock question papers for NEET and try to solve them within 2.5 hours ; increase your speed as well as accuracy ; avoid silly mistakes.

And it would be better if you join test series of Allen /akash which start from December/ January so that you can get actual feel of exam , because sometimes it's very easy to perform at home but in examination hall it's different .

All the best.
